Steves, Lorraine Eva peacefully in her sleep in the early morning of Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at her daughter's home in Ajax. Lorraine Eva Steves (nee Stiles) was born on March 10, 1932 in Parry Sound, Ontario. Lorraine lived in the Moncton, New Brunswick area where she met Gerald Steves in 1947. Lorraine and Gerry were married on September 12, 1952 and were happily married for over 52 years until Gerry's passing on November 28, 2004. Lorraine was the daughter of the late Cecil Stiles and the late Annie L. Stiles (nee Blakney). During Lorraine's marriage she resided in the areas of Moncton, Hamilton, Toronto, Edmonton and Cobourg. Loving mother of Brian Steves (Venera), David Steves (Connie), Gerry Steves (Kristin) and Sharren Dawson (Greg). Devoted grandmother of Paul, Dalton, Mardi, Rachel, Mark, Matthew, Katie and Jacob. Lorraine was very family orientated and took pride in all of her family and relatives activities including her brothers, sisters (Shirley Spencer (Walter), Russell Stiles (Willie), Myrtle Power (George) and Stanley Stiles (Joan)) and other family relatives, brother in law Paul Steves, sister in laws Ruth Steves and Marie Steves and cousin Carol Poitras and others. She was fortunate in her lifetime to travel to New Brunswick many times to visit with her family and friends. Last August, 2005 was Lorraine's last visit with her family in New Brunswick. A Mass of Christian burial was held at St. Michael's Church, Cobourg on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at 10 a.m. with interment beside Gerry at St. Michael's Cemetery, Cobourg.
