It is with immeasurable sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved daughter, mother, sister, granddaughter, niece, aunt and friend, Kasey MaryJane Clark, at the age of 37, on March 11, 2026, peacefully, at Golden Plough Lodge, in Cobourg, Ontario.
Kasey is survived by her mother, Karen Harding, son Jaxon age 14, daughter Raeya age 12, sisters Alana and Andie, Papa Norman Hall, Uncle Clinton (Rachel) and Aunt Andrea (Dan) and many cousins.
She is predeceased by her Nanny, MaryJane Hall.
Despite her serious health issues and the suffering she endured throughout all of her adult life, Kasey is celebrated and will be remembered for her love of her mom and all of her family, and the children she was so proud and dedicated to parent, and for always putting others first, attending to their needs often at the sake of her own.
Kasey, like her sisters to follow, was directed by her Mom to be certain to achieve two things in life: a post-secondary education and learn to play a musical instrument. Kasey not only has a beautiful voice, but could read music and was a multi-instrumentalist, playing saxophone, clarinet, guitar and piano. She loved books. She loved even more being a protective and supportive Big Sister to Alana and Andie, and throughout her short life revelled in family outings. Her love of people and concern for their wellness is reflected in her career choices, working for nine years as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) and completing her education as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT).
We would like to thank everyone who lended support and encouragement to us through all of Kasey’s challenges, and the kindness and loving care she received from the staff at Golden Plough Lodge and the Dialysis Unit at Northumberland Hills Hospital. Though only a resident at the Golden Plough for the last three months, Kasey’s light shone like the beacon of love she was from her first days in their care. Kasey faced a difficult life decision in electing to move into the long-term care facility, but was brightened and heartened by the availability of expert care across all disciplines and at all times of the day and night. During that time, she also enjoyed outings in the wheelchair van her Mom acquired. She was able to relish her relationships with her mother, sisters and Papa without so much focus on her health needs.
Kasey would be the first to express the happiness she received from the love of her Mom; Nanny and Papa; Alana and Andie; and her Uncle Clinton and Aunt Andrea, who has been a mentor to all three sisters.
We extend our thanks as well to the many doctors and nurses who contributed both their knowledge and care for Kasey; to her Mom’s work friends and her friends from so many other walks of life; and to all who showed their love, compassion, and their unconditional and unending support. To Kasey’s friends, thank you for your love for and appreciation of her. She felt the same about you.
Funeral arrangements are at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St E., Cobourg, Saturday March 21, 2026. Viewing 12 noon - 2 PM. Funeral at 2 PM. Reception to follow at the Cobourg Legion. To all of Kasey's clan, our hearts are with you at this tragic time of loss! Kasey and our kids were thick as thieves through their CDCI West years, especially in musical performances, math help at our house, and hanging out. We kept touch occasionally in the years that followed, dancing together and solving life's problems at our kitchen table over a cup of tea. What always struck us about Kasey was her ability to be optimistic in adversity, laugh at the absurd challenges of life, and somehow carry on. She will do that forever, now, in our hearts. May we all face the adversity of life with the style, humour, and grace of Kasey Clark.
