Dianne Willis passed away unexpectedly on January 24, 2026 in the warmth of her home.
Dianne will be deeply missed by her loving husband Garnet and her two children Christine (Patrick), and Rob (Lisa). Her Step-Children Cris and Ashlee.
Cherished grandmother of Ari and step-grandson Dylan. Dear sister of Tom (Mette) and Tim. Aunt of Michael, Kathleen (Jack), Daniel (Nicole) and Emma.
Dianne will be remembered for her love of life, Canadian pride, strength of character, honesty, integrity and warmth.
Dianne was small but mighty, with a personality that towered her size. With a sly grin, a sideways glance and a sparkle that betrayed a mischievous and playful sense of humour, she could lighten the room.
She found joy in her family, both human and non-human, with a deep connection to horses and nature. Her soul felt most fulfilled when she was out on the trail. Whether it was during competition, a pleasure ride or simply on the farm with dear friends and her most cherished companion, husband and partner in life, Garnet. These experiences allowed her to travel far and wide for which she felt privileged for the connections, both equine and human, made along the way.
She approached life and her relationships with tremendous love, strength, honesty, authenticity and laughter. Always holding to a high standard while compassionately accepting that we are all human. You always knew where you stood with her. And that was one of the many things that was so beautiful about her.
A note from Dianne…
For everyone who touched my heart, all creatures great and small, I am forever grateful for the enrichment you brought to my life and time in this world.
Thank you

So long, old friend
Garnet, we are saddened to hear your Dianne is no longer with you. We met Dianne, my daughter and I, more than a dozen years ago, well it was the year you drove to the USA to purchase Godiva. Dianne welcomed us into her barn and introduced us to Knick as a potential prospect. Dianne taught us many intricacies of the Arabian horse. We were newbies and soaked up every bit of her wisdom. She had a real love and deep respect for her horses. We are grateful to have fond memories of her. May all the memories help you through this most difficult time.
My deepest sympathies to Diane's family. I have some wonderful memories of fun times with Diane. Thank you for being part of our lives.
Our sincere condolences to the entire family. We only met Dianne once but felt we knew her thanks to the memories shared by our best friends, Tom and Mette of their time (and love) of "the Hill". May she rest in eternal peace xo
