Lionel Joseph Landry

July 30, 1947 - January 8, 2026

The family of Lionel Landry, with Praise to the Lord, announces his passing into his Heavenly home on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Northumberland Hills Hospital, at the age of 78. Lionel is survived by his wife, whom he adored, Nancy (nee: Weaver); son, Ian; and daughter, Jacqueline (Stephen). He was the proud Poppy to Stephanie, Shane, and Brittaine (Michal) and the Great Poppy to Lionel and Scotlynn.
Lionel is also survived by his siblings, Gilbert and Diane Bonhomme (Paul), and many nieces and nephews.
Lionel was predeceased by his parents, Abbé and Georgine Landry; his brothers, Clifford, Raymond, and Ivan; and his sister, Gisele.
Lionel loved to travel and spend time in the outdoors. He was often found hunting partridge or moose, or fishing for pickerel, in the bush around Timmins, ON. While he could find his way easily in the bush, he was directionally challenged in other places. He was handy with his hands, and his last project was the spice rack, proudly hung in the kitchen. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. At church, he was always offering to help with work projects and singing in the choir. He surrounded his family with love and humour. Often telling of adventures he went on with his Nan. His greatest joy is his relationship with the Lord and his family.
