Carol Ann Markham

On Wednesday, November 11th, Carol Markham passed away peacefully at Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice at the age of 82. Carol is survived by her daughter Chi Morrison (Wayne), grandchildren Taylor Tremblay (Ethan Tremblay and expectant great grandbaby “Baby Munchkin”) and Graison Morrison (Sammy Morrison and expectant great grandbaby). Carol and Don Drouillard (ex-husband) rekindled their love after 37 years, sharing joyful memories in her final months. Carol reunited with her other children ; Gretta, Laura and Angel years after giving them up for adoption and was blessed by new memories. She survived her son Kirt who passed as an infant. Carol was a disciple of Jesus and spread the Word from an apartment bedroom window to a hospital bed. She never hesitated to give to the poor or to a reputable organization that shared the gospel. As her daughter’s best friend, grandchildren’s sounding board, and a hug that was always needed, she will be dearly missed. She always said, “I want to see Jesus.” "I want to go home” and finally she is there. Her favorite verse was John 3:16. We love you so very much and miss you terribly already …… “ I will miss meet you by the river for when your time is through. You’re not gone but gone ahead until I’m with you. I will meet you by the river and when my time is through, we’ll go hand in hand together because heaven isn’t the same without you”. We would like to thank the staff at Ed’s House who made her feel so special and loved. Your care, kindness and outstanding compassion shined through.
