Peacefully, surrounded by his family at Ed’s House on Saturday September 27th in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Norma Jean Beatty (nee Hope). Loving father of Charlene Stewart (Dale) and Sheldon Beatty (Amanda). Cherished grandfather of Sydney Stewart and Ashlynn Stewart. Predeceased by his brother Ross Beatty (late Norma) and Robert Beatty. Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St., E., Cobourg on Thursday October 2nd from 10:30 am. – 11:30 am., followed by a funeral service at 11:30 am. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Grafton. If desired donations may be made to Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice or a charity of choice.

I’m so saddened to hear the passing of Gord. I had the honour of working with Gord for many years at Home Hardware, he was always a bright light, caring and kind man.
