Passed away on Friday July 11, 2025 at Lakeridge Health Port Perry in his 72nd year. Paul was the beloved brother of Noel (Carol), Maurice (Bernadette), Judy (Wayne) and Bill.
Loving uncle to Ian, Nicole, Jeremy, Brady, Calvin & Cheyenne.
Cherished friend of Angie, Mike and many others.
Paul is predeceased by his parents William and Mary Kelly.
After graduating from Loyalist College, Paul spent time as a welder, as well as at Davidson Rubber, in retail, and of course was known by many from his years as a taxi driver. He was a generous person, and a regular volunteer, giving his time to causes like the MS Society, and the Royal Canadian Legion. He was always ready to help, and as anyone who spent time around him would know, always ready with a joke.
Paul will be dearly missed by many extended family and friends.
A celebration of life for Paul will be held at the Grafton Legion from 2:00PM till 4:00PM on Aug. 2nd, 2025.
If desired, memorial donations to the MS Society of Canada, Diabetes Canada, or the Royal Canadian Legion would be appreciated by the family.
I had the pleasure of meeting Paul when I was a little girl when my dad (also a Paul) drove for Joe Gould at Cobourg Taxi many years ago. Him and Paul became good friends in turn Paul and I became close. My heart broke when I heard the news of his passing. He was a lovely, kind and caring soul who will be greatly missed. My prayers and sincerest condolences are with you all. Safe journey my dear friend.
Our deepest sympathies to you on the loss of your brother. Wendi & Brett
Paul was an amazing friend and overall human being. He was a constant and loyal man that enjoyed the simple things in life and appreciated people for who they were without judgement. Paul had a mischievous side that was always a welcome distraction from our crazy world. He was loved, cherished and truly made a difference in your life if you knew him. God Bless you buddy, see you on the other side.
A loving uncle who would do anything for me, even though I wasn't blood. I had a blast with him on Tues, Wed, and Thursday. Now I'm lost without the joking uncle I loved and cherished. Farewell and may we meet again Uncle
We Sincerely send our condolences and prayers to the Paul Kelly family RIP Paul you will be missed
I am sorry to hear about your loss may God keep you strong
I am sorry to hear of his death. I was chatting with him on his cell on July 5 at 8:12pm about him wanting me to get information about a power chair. Gave him the name of Stewart Edge at Motion Peterborough. Where he got the tips for his quad cane. Then when I went to the Thursday Night Dinner at St. Peters Anglican Church where he sat with a group of us on a regular basis. Jen had informed me about the loss of Paul. We were in shock to hear. My condolences to the family. God be with you as the Great Comforter during this time.
