At Peterborough Regional Health Care with his family by his side on Friday, April 19, 2024. Beloved husband of Marjorie Smith (née Dean). Loving father of Sheri (John) and Leonard. Proud Grandfather of Haley, Jenna, Leah, Elroy and Marilyn.
Son of the late Robert and Mabel. Predeceased by his siblings; Roland (the late Marina), Jessie Stacey (the late Charles), Loretta Martin (the late George), Sam (Joyce). Survived by siblings Mose (Jane), Chesley (Donna), Minnie (Otto).
Friends are invited to attend a celebration of Eric’s life at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home Reception Centre, 30 King St., E., Cobourg on Monday, April 22 from 1 - 3 p.m.
If desired donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Dear Aunt Marg, Sheri, John, Lenny, and families, We are very sorry to hear the news of Uncle Eric's passing. He will be missed. I remember fondly our visits to each other's houses when I was a kid. Uncle Eric was always welcoming, kind and good-natured to us all. I greatly enjoyed all those holidays spent together growing up. Fast forward to our adult years, Uncle Eric has always been there for us, no matter the distance to travel. He celebrated our good times with us, and was there to support us in times of sadness.
