He was a dedicated member of the Cobourg Municipal Council & a huge supporter of the sports community, enthusiastically calling the “play by play” of the Cobourg Cougar home games in the 1970’s. You will be missed by SO many but your inspiration lives on thru the many people you touched. I reflect fondly on your support of your favourite sports teams and how you challenged my judgement on mine. If anyone could have made me change my mind it was you. Dear Beverley and family, I extend my condolences on the passing of Bob. Bob was always so passionate about his community and I recall the many animated meetings we had around our YMCA Board table and the fun and entertaining stories that he shared. Thinking of you during this difficult time.

So sorry to hear of Bob's passing, everything hockey he was my coach, i was very lucky to be twice on Spooner Sports alway treated me great when i played in Cobourg and Port Hope. If i was in Town i would stop at Kelly's and have a chat and a beer, good man he will be missed

I’m so sorry to hear about Bob’s passing. He spoke at our mom and dad’s 50th wedding anniversary. He had an amazing way with words. Back in my Cougar days he was amazing on the radio and great to all of us kids. He was a great man who will be missed. Our hearts go out to your family at this most difficult time.
