I was very sorry to hear of Brian’s passing. I didn’t know him well but wanted share the wonderful experience we had with him helping us fix a cloths drier on a summer long weekend in 2023. He phoned us back on the Friday night of a long weekend and had the thing serviced the next day, I was blown away. He seemed like the kind of guy that really wanted to take care of the people in his community. My deepest condolences to the family, this is such a loss to our community. Rest in peace.

Our hearts go out to Roger & Nancy, Linda, and the entire family at this sad time. We enjoyed family gatherings at Roger's, Brian was always there. He was a great friend, brother, son, uncle, nephew, and cousin and he will be dearly missed by all!

Very sorry to hear of Brian's passing so suddenly. Brian gave us great service over many years. Just in December he installed a new stovetop for us & it works perfectly. We will miss him.

Roughly nine years ago Brian came to replace an appliance, it was a tricky install that took hours. We talked all through or maybe I should say Brian talked and I listened. Since then all of my appliances have been replaced and many more story sessions later, I learned about local history, had a tour of the general store with enough of a description that it came to life for me… stories about art, people, places. Brian invited mom and I to the last community hall dinner but sadly we couldn’t make it. Brian will be missed by me and by the community he served. Condolences to his family. There will never be another.

Roger and Linda. I so remember the many hours of my sister Caroline and I playing with Brian and Roger when we were very little and we lived next door. Watching cartoons at your place was a highlight when we didn’t have a tv yet. My older sisters baby sat you all. In later years, I’m glad to say, that Brian and I reconnected our friendship. I too loved his funny emails, especially during Covid times. I will very much miss his friendship and friendly ways.

Brian was the “go to guy” for all our appliance needs, questions, help. In fact all my appliances in the house are from Brian. Roger, Linda and families… our condolences to all of you in the loss of Brian . We had the greatest visit with him just before Christmas.. at Swiss Chalet .. quite by chance . To Brian's siblings and extended family and friends, I'm very sorry to find out about his passing. It always was a pleasure dealing with him for appliances, a true gentleman. RIP Brian.

Our family has had the privilege of knowing Brian for many years -while he was a respected member of the umpires association, as a trusted appliance dealer at the store, and as a friend. We always enjoyed visiting with Brian when he would kindly drop by our home, or have a chat at the Bethlehem Walk. He was a genuinely fine man who will truly missed. Our most sincere condolences.

First knew Brian at Dale Road School. My parents Gordon & Grace Carruthers, knew his family and like Brian were community minded. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this difficult time
