Peacefully at the Golden Plough Lodge in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Marlene Stevenson for 65 years. Loving father of Catherine (Scott Martin). Cherished Pappy of Erin (Gord Coggins) and Great Pappy of Alex, Michael, Morgan and Aly.
Brother of Ruth Weekes, Ross (Rose Warner) and Margaret (Glen Curtis), all predeceased.
Gordon was a RCAF aircraft mechanic and left the air force to get married. He became a welder/pipefitter and started Vout Welding in 1972. He later sold the business in 1977 and continued welding to his retirement. Gordon and Marlene enjoyed many years in the Lions Club, family, travelling and later wintering in Florida.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held Saturday January 13th at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King Street East, Cobourg, from 10:00am – 11:00am followed by a service at 11:00am. A Celebration of the lives of Marlene and Gordon Vout will follow at the Grafton Legion, Br. 580 at 12:15.

Hi there Cathy , I’m sorry to hear about your dad’s passing . I was going to come and see him for a visit ( had planned on it then Covid cancelled my excursion ) , talk about his great aunts and share pictures of Voutville from the 1880’s . Possibly we can have a coffee sometime and I’ll give them to you . I didn’t see your dad that much after the 1970’s , but I always admired him and thought him a good man .
