It is with profound sadness we announce that another Angel left this earth suddenly in Peterborough on Friday November 3rd. Our beloved Jim was the best of all of us. Smart, funny, extremely goofy, a fierce friend, a champion of everything family, and a huge lover of Christmas.
He was pre-deceased by his parents William & Margaret Holmes and older brother Michael. Remembered with love and greatly mourned by his beautiful life partner Diane Chapman, step-daughter Janet, his siblings Janet McFarland (Mike), Richard Holmes (Greta), Maryellen Borndahl (Murray), Kathie King (Mark), Haly Holmes (Stephen Stretten), Mark Holmes (Sherry), his many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and valued friends. Jim will be missed by his faithful dog Max.
Everyone is welcome to a celebration of Jim’s life on Saturday April 13th from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at The Mill Restaurant, 990 Ontario Street, Cobourg. Donations to the Northumberland Humane Society and Diabetes Canada would be appreciated.
He shall be forever missed.

I grew up in C’ford and the Holmes family was part of our social circle..so it was certainly a surprise to find ourselves living on the same floor in a London apt building with someone I had grown up with. Jim and Diane were very popular with everyone they met…and little Max certainly ruled . We are so sorry for your loss…he was a kind and friendly man …I wish we had known him better.
