Peacefully in Palliative Care, Northumberland Hills Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Soulmate of the late Thomas Boyle. Devoted mother of David (Lorraine), Michael (Cheri), Rosanne (Garry), Stephen (Terry) and the late Kevin. Grandmother of Mandy, Amber, Adam, Kyle, Joseph, Andrew, Tim, David and Charlie. Great Grandmother of 16 and 1 great great granddaughter. She was always so interested in what they were doing, and very supportive. Sister of Nancy and the late Bruce, Martin and the late Ellena, Glen (Marsha), the late Danny and Dianne, the late Francis and Ron and Brenda (Jody).
Betty and Tom spent their retirement years travelling to many countries. She loved talking about their adventures.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bayer, and the staff at Northumberland Hills Hospital for their care and compassion. Donations to Extendicare (Landmark) Life Enrichment Program. She spent every day looking forward to the activities and entertainment, especially Elvis. Thank you to all the staff for making it her home. Friends and family are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Cobourg on Friday May 26th at 1:30 pm., followed by a Celebration of Life at the Columbus Community Centre, Cobourg.

Memories.....most wonderful memories of all the "sisters" We all travelled to New England in Nancy's wonderful home on wheels and had many many laughs, good food, lots of great adventures ... so much fun. We also had many wonderful Xmases at the Pepper home and lots of good times for many years - Betty was such a wonderful sister and I will never forget the many things we did together over the years I lived in Cobourg!! So saddened by this news. My sincere condolences to all of Betty’s family and friends. Betty was a second mom to me growing up. Such a truly loving and caring person. I can’t hear a John Denver song without picturing her smiling face as she hummed along. I’ve not met anyone as genuine or generous as her since. Such a beautiful soul. Betty's husband Tom worked with my husband Nick at Curtis Products in Cobourg. We had fun times together. They had beautiful children What a loving family. God Bless.
I recall the time I saw Tom driving the tractor across the field at the farm, with Betty sitting on the edge of the wagon behind, holding a large pail of daisies. A lovely couple. Our sincere condolences to the family at this time. Pete and Joan Kelly

I and my late wife "Josephine" were long time friends of Betty and Tom as camping companions, canoeing across the waterways and rivers of many provincial parks , Algonquin , Arrowhead, Lake of twin rivers and others plus several trips down east to Newfoundland and across to Labrador All places where your delightful sense of humor and presence always resulted in a relaxed and fun time, never a dull moment.
