We will miss our visits with Uncle Bill. From my earliest memories, those were always warm and genuine family moments. Cobourg may be well regarded for its beach, but in our experience with the extended Holmes clan, it is the people that really make the town special. Love you Bill. May God reward you for your kindness and warm spirit.
We were deeply saddened to hear of Bill’s sudden passing. He was a lovely gentle man and we enjoyed many good times together. Margot ,you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers at this time of loss. Brenda and Colin.

Thinking of you as you celebrate William’s life. He will live on in your heart.
February 10, 2023 Mike and Gisele de la Durantaye Dear Margot, Lisa, Steven, and family: our deepest sympathy on the sudden passing of Bill. Bill was such a friendly and kind person who was always there to lend a helping hand or provide advice on how to solve everyday problems around the house. Bill had a great passion for geology, plants, and animals; always willing to share his knowledge and expertise when asked. His carport became a gathering place for long discussions about the neighborhood, the town and just about anything else. Bill and Margo were one of the original “homesteaders” on Maher Crescent back in the late 70s. Bill helped build some of the original houses in the crescent. Bill was our resident historian when it came to Monk’s Cove and the Town of Cobourg. Bill loved to walk. He would walk around Monk’s Cove, to the library, to church, to the grocery store, to work, to the hospital and so on. He met many friendly people on the way, people who would get to know Bill and his pleasant ways. We will all miss Bill and what he represented as a husband, father, grandfather, co-worker, neighbor and proud member of the Cobourg Community for all those years.
Hi Margot I’m so sorry to hear of your husbands passing. Thinking of you and your family.

He will be a found memory for all of us who knew him.
