André Lional Labrosse

November 29, 1949 - January 26, 2023

Peacefully after a short battle with cancer, on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Colleen (nee Turcotte) for 51 years. Loving father of Dwayne (Trisa) and Trevor. Cherished grandfather of Evan, Andy, Kody, Kayne, Kiefer and Kashton. Dear brother of Lise Labrosse Delarosbil (Andre), Susan Vosdingh, Villette Berube (Rob) and Daniel Berube (Lynn) and brother-in-law of Marilyn Elinesky (John) and Carol Turcotte. He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews and his best friends Mel and Bill Hodges. Andre was a retiree of G.M. where he worked as an electrician for 30 years. He was an avid golfer and dart player. Andre was president of Port Hope Legion Branch 30. He was a devoted member. He had many friends over the years and was loved and respected by all. A celebration of Andre’s life will take place at a later date. Special thanks to Dr. Mark Azzoparti, Dr. Mulé and all the nurses and staff of Northumberland Hills Hospital for their incredible care. Donations to Port Hope Legion Branch 30 or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Andre was our President at the Legion and very proud to be. Andre always made himself available for any request I had relating to the annual golf tournament. He was a good friend and will be greatly missed.
