MURRAY GRIFFIN - December 2, 2022

Dear Family We were shocked when we learned of Marjorie's passing, So many said, "I just saw her yesterday. I live in Legion Village near the most southerly end, Phase 3. Close to a 10 minute walk from the elevators I would spend afternoons in the solarium. It is the best spot in the building, but what made it most special Marjorie would walk the distance. We'd talk about things dear to our hearts and not more than five minutes she was on her way. I missed her visits after awhile and then I noticed this: After lunch and supper it is always necessary for me to use the W.C. in the Main Lobby area. There was Marjorie waiting to give me another one of her beautiful smiles and cheery greeting. I will not forget. Love and blessings. Pastor Murray.

Leona Woods - December 1, 2022

I was so sorry to hear of Marjorie's passing. My sympathy to her family. I knew Marjorie from the Cobourg and District Historical Society. She was a regular attender and so interested in all the topics. I would pick her up and we would chat about the presentations on the drive home. Marjorie was a kind and charming woman and she will be missed.

I just found out today that this beautiful lady passed away on Saturday. She was our neighbour for many years then she moved into Legion Village. When my parents moved into Legion Village I got to see Marg and give her a big hug and see how she was doing. I will always have love in my heart for this lady and I will miss seeing her. Sorry for your loss Debbie and your family. RIP Marg..xoxo

So very sorry for your loss Deb & family. Your Mom and Dad were such great neighbours to us in Cobourg. Her knowledge of plants was unimaginable and her gardens showed it. She was a beautiful and caring lady and will be truly missed.

Diane and family, sincere condolences on your mothers passing. I have volunteered at the Village for many years and Marjorie was always a good visitor to our little tuck shop where we would chat about things English. Will miss her visits.

Nadine Mahood - November 22, 2022

Debbie and family, I am so sorry to see this notice tonight. Your mom and I have sat at the same table at Legion Village since I arrived here in the spring of 2016. She was a warm and caring person and until Covid was an active, outgoing person who loved the Horticultural Society, the Historical Society and the weekly movies at the Library. Like many of the older people here the lockdown was difficult for her but she worked her way through. The last months have been difficult for her and me too as I saw the Marjorie I knew slip away. I'm sure that she has found the peace and contentment back with her "wonderful Ken" now that she has joined him.

Sheila - November 22, 2022

Sorry for your loss. I remember both your mom and dad. I was a member of the Cobourg Horticultural Society and I felt they took me under their wings. I would visit on the transit bus with your mom when she was still travelling that way. Wonderful lady she will be missed.
