It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Madison Peter “Peter” Grieve. Peter passed peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at the Northumberland Hills Hospital Friday, July 22, 2022, at the age of 67. Cherished father to Peter and Kelly. Loved grandpa to Jacob, Jasmine, Jack Daniel, Jade. Brother to Maxine (Neil), Tracey (Bob), Sheila (Gord), the late Ronny, the late Yvonne and the late Annette. Brother-in -law to Bob. Peter will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family. Peter loved to spend his time at the Cobourg Harbour. He spent his mornings chatting with his friends, drinking his coffee. He enjoyed spending his time watching the baseball games from the comfort of his porch. It didn’t matter what team played, he cheered for them all. He was a social butterfly. Peter loved to drive around and visit everyone he knew, and they enjoyed his visits as well. As per Peter’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

I leave my condolences to the family. Peter was my second cousin, and I well remember his brother Ronny and his sister Yvonne and her husband Bob. My family was born in Cobourg and the Toronto area. The family of Diane Forster (my mother, his first cousin), her daughter JoAnne Hawkins and her daughter Jennifer Stinson and I, her son, send our prayers to our Cobourg cousins and family. It is a beautiful town, and the love the McMann descendants had for their families helped grow that community in Northumberland County. --Jim and the family Spring Hill, Fla.
We would like to send our condolences to the family, may Peter rest in peace.

Our deepest condolences to the Grieve family on Peter's passing. We played together as kids with my cousin Bill, would go skating at the arena in our teen years, the parties, the guys racing their cars and going to each other's weddings and the births of our kids. Pete was fun to be around and always made us laugh. We'll miss you Pete! May you rest in peace and may your family take comfort in their many memories of you.
Sorry to hear the passing of Peter. I remember playing with Annette..Yvonne and Peter in the James/John/Division Street neighbourhood. Thinking about you during this sad time... Deborah Wass Elder
