Passed away peacefully at Elgin Manor in St. Thomas, Ontario, on Wednesday, July 27th, 2022, a short time into her 98th year. Daughter of the late Charles and Laura Burt. Predeceased by her seven siblings: Helen, Edith, Ann, Jim, Ted, Bill and Bob, as well as by her loving husband, Lou Carignan. Survived by her three children, five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. Many thanks to the staff at Elgin Manor in St. Thomas who took such great care of our mom during these last few years.
Family and friends may call for visitation at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E., Cobourg, Ontario, on Sunday, July 31st, from 10:30 am-12:00 pm followed by the service in the funeral home chapel at noon.
Those wishing may make a memorial donation to the Acoustic Neuroma Association of Canada or to a charity of your choice.

Sending this condolence note to Norma's family has reminded me of so many happy memories Norma and I shared over the past seventy-three years. It was these times that enabled me to communicate with Norma and bring some laughter to the moment. Happy memories are so precious and I shall treasure the ones I shared with Norma. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am sorry that we can't make it to the service but I can remember the trip when I went to the big Toronto and I stayed with you and you took me to a store and bought me a new dress. My sisters and I often talked about those trips that you gave us.
Thanks for the memories grandma! You will be missed. You were a blessing to all of us! Even though I cannot make it to the funeral as well you will always be remembered! My thoughts and prayers our with all of our family! Rest In Peace grandma heaven gained a beautiful angel!!!
