The Cornall family is devastated to announce the passing of Cameron Cornall, after a brief but fierce battle with cancer, shortly after his 29th birthday. Beloved son of Dave & Cathy Cornall, overly-protective brother of Cassandra McColl (Malcolm) and Carolyn Chapple (Cal), loving uncle of Archer Chapple. He died in his home surrounded by his family. Cameron had the biggest heart of anyone you could ever meet, although he liked to disguise it under a gruff exterior. He was a man of strong convictions, unwavering moral principals, and could be downright stubborn in his beliefs, but everyone who knew him well knew that he would do anything for the people he loved and he would fight to protect anyone who deserved it. He was hilarious and could easily get a whole room laughing. In his short life he had numerous careers and excelled in each one, a testament to his intelligence, ingenuity, and creativity. He served as a corporal in the military, worked as a builder, and finally settled into a career as a photographer, where his creativity truly shone. With his assistance, his sisters were able to create their own businesses to live their own dreams. Cameron was always the first to help others, and the last person to quit. Cameron was a lifelong athlete, participating in Rep hockey, baseball, lacrosse, and golf. He also loved playing video games and made some lifelong friends through gaming. His greatest passion, besides photography, was his Subaru STI, which he custom modified. He loved to take anyone for a drive (after the car warmed up for at least fifteen minutes first, of course). He loved his car so much that both of his cats were named after cars! (Subie, for his Subaru, and Lexi for his mom’s Lexus). Friends and family are invited to call at the MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St., E., Cobourg on Sunday June 12th from 1-4 pm., followed by a service at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family has a special request. They ask that you take whatever money you would have donated and put it toward a fun activity with your own family. Time with your children is precious and it is the Cornall family’s sincerest wish that no one take that time for granted. Sometimes the time you have together is much shorter than you think.
Dave and Cathy, we are so sorry for your loss. We remember many nights at the arena in Baltimore ,Cameron enjoying that time on the ice and his buddies. Our thoughts are with you. His memories will always be there.

Grew up with Cameron going to Camborne P.S. and playing hockey in Baltimore. This breaks my heart, way too soon!! We were never close but man could he make people laugh! 😊 I remember him always laughing and joking, always smiling. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends ❤️

As a teacher at CDCI West, I had a chance to get to know the Cornall kids. Following their graduation, I often had the chance to catch up with the girls during gymnastic events. My heart is heavy with the news of Cameron’s passing. Please know that you are in my thoughts and accept my most sincere condolences. Hearing the news of Cameron’s passing has been nothing short of shocking and heartbreaking. Its been difficult to process hearing a childhood friend who had so much left to give this world is gone so young. I feel honoured and blessed to have been neighbours and known him.
