Patrick Leonard, in Piddington, England. - June 9, 2022

For my Dearest Uncle Glen... It is with a heavy heart that i bid you a very fond 'farewell' - for now! I had nothing but the highest regard for you Uncle, with your quiet and patient ways you were, and still are - the 'Quiet Patriarch', a man who's quiet and steadfast nature and disposition that placed you very firmly in the centre of so many family things. Your patient explanations and heartfet honesty could be relied upon to quietly steer us through so many things. When you visited in the Summer of 1969, my Brother Nigel and i were just little lads in short trousers, we had never heard the Canadian accent before, and to our boyish 'ears' your accent left us both perplexed, i recall turning to my brother Nigel at this point and saying... "he sounds different, he must be Irish"! ...well, i was partly right, the surname Crawford hailing from the borders of Scotland, so there was indeed a steadfast Celtic tradition behind our dear Uncle Glen! We had the pleasure of visiting Canada on two separate occassions, and each time Glen thoughtfully collected us from the airport, chauffeured us around and took great pleasure in showing us the expansive vistas that are Canada ~ such priceless and treasured memories! Your feet now stand upon a different shore Uncle Glen, and i hope and pray that you are wonderfully reunited with Aunt Marie. It is at times such as these that i am reminded of the words of... Dylan Thomas ~ "Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day, Rage, rage against the dying of the light". Dearest Uncle Glen... may the sun still be upon your face, and may the wind be at your back... Godspeed, until we meet again. Goodnight Uncle... with Love, Patrick, Alison, ...and little Theodore.

Jeanette Leonard in England. - June 9, 2022

Very much thinking of Glen and my Sister, Marie, to whom Glen was married for so many happy years. I have looked back across so many happy memories of when Glen and Marie came 'home' to here in Northampton, England and spent so many memorable and happy days here at the Strudwick Family home at 'Fairlight' in Moulton. All of Glen's nephews and nieces had nothing but the highest regard, respect and affection for Glen. I would like to send my love and prayers to all of the family there in Canada, you have all played your part in Glen's good care and you have eased his path from this world with much love and caring. Thank you to Sandra & Ron who have given so very much to Glen in these past weeks and months. My hopes and prayers are that Glen is now reunited with my dearest Sister, Marie, and that he is holding her hand once more. Goodnight & God Bless you Glen... With all our love... from Jean, and Brother - in - Law, Gordon... and from all the family that 'Fairlight' stands for and represents.

RONALD A. STEVENS - June 8, 2022

Sandra and I would like to thank all that have generously donated to their favourite charities in Glens memory and folks messages of condolences, a sincere thank you. Many have expressed the qualities of Glen, as a uncle, step father, step grandfather, and special friend to many. His devotion to the love of his life Marie was forever, and now they are together again forever. Glen was more than a brother in law to me, he was Family. We enjoyed many happy times at our home with various celebrations for both of them. When Marie passed away, Glen felt a huge hole left in his heart and life. His dementia deteriorated quickly over the past few years, and it became obvious he could now longer be on his own. Tough decisions were made by Sandra, and although too short in time, we did manage to get him in at Taunton Mills, hoping he would enjoy that part of his life, but it ended far too quickly. Sandra has done a incredible job as POA for Glen, always looking out for the best quality of care Glen could have. I am very proud of her, and on behalf of the family, thank her for her loving devotion to her brother. Glen, you will certainly be missed, but never forgotten. Hugs to you and Marie.

You were a man of such kindness and decency with such a good heart. We all saw the devotion and dedication between you and Nanny. It was a love story for the ages. And you were so caring and helpful to my father. Thank you for always being there for family. You will be deeply missed and we are so grateful for all the years we had with you.

My sincerest & heartfelt condolences for the passing of my much loved Uncle Glen. Throughout my entire life Uncle Glen & his soul mate & much loved wife, my Aunt Marie... were both truly an inspiration to me & to many of us. So many happy & truly unforgettable memories & times spent together, all of which I am so very grateful for & shall always treasure. Uncle Glen, was to me... a fountain of knowledge, so caring, loving & giving with his time. He was also very involved with the Scouts during his younger years & giving then too with his skill sets & time to the Scouting community... a treasure indeed. I am so proud of him, of both of them...as I know they shall be reunited now. Both Uncle Glen & Aunt Marie had such a complete & happy life together...there for each other through "thick & thin" & the ups & downs of life's journey...they both loved their well deserved travels & visits back "home" to the bliss & beauty of Moulton & all the family here across the pond...many happy times, something I personally can relate to. Also so very proud of Mum & Dad for always being there for Uncle Glen, as well as Aunt Marie throughout the decades & especially all they have done through these past several challenging years to help Uncle Glen through "thick & thin"...something I know both Uncle Glen & Aunt Marie are also grateful for & proud of as well. I shall truly miss him, but shall always have him close to my heart & soul forevermore. He has always been an absolute trooper in life & this was true until his last moment, he was the "salt of the earth"... a fun & loving brother to Mum & the same as a brother-in law to Dad... and an unforgettable & inspirational Uncle, mentor & friend to me. Much Luv, Kevin.

Glen and Anne Tryon - June 4, 2022

Glen and Marie were wonderful neighbours and now they are together. Glen was thankful for his sister, Sandy and husband Ron, especially this last year. He enjoyed his visits with them but was always glad to get back to his "good" home. May the fond memories give hugs to those who loved and knew Glen.

Paul and Judy Sherwin - June 3, 2022

So sorry for your loss. Glen was a great neighbour such a kind man. It was a pleasure watching Glen and Marie live their love story over the years. May they RIP now that they are together again.
