Peacefully and surrounded by his three sons, Dennis Randall passed away on March 27th 2022 at Ed's House Northumberland Hospice in Cobourg Ontario.
Dennis will be fondly remembered by his 3 children, their spouses, and 10 grandchildren;
Jason (Kath), Sara, Madeline, and Amelia. Anthony (Robyn), Paterson and Lawren, (Erica), Luna and Alistair. Ryan (Laura), Rebecca, Robin, and Arthur. Along with friend and mother to his children, Nancy.
Born to George and Margaret (nee Maguire) Dennis fondly reminisced on his childhood growing up with his 5 brothers and sisters in Centreton and Cobourg Ontario. He leaves behind Lois (Dave), Karen (Ken), Dale, Scott (Jennifer) and eight nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his oldest brother Ron (Gerrie).
Dennis was a builder, tinkerer, and fixer, who enjoyed nothing more than working with his hands on an ambitious project.
As an employee of Ontario Power Generation for over 50 years he saw both the building and acted as the project lead for the demolition of Nanticoke Thermal Generation Station.
He raised his family and lived in nearby Port Dover Ontario. He loved his house where he enjoyed playing horseshoes with friends, watching birds in the back yard, sunsets on the front porch, and sharing apples from his apple tree.
Friends and family are invited to a funeral and reception on April 8th 2022 at 11am at MacCoubrey Funeral Home in Cobourg Ontario. Private interment at Cobourg Union Cemetery will follow. There will also be a celebration of Dennis on May 28th 2022 in Port Dover, Ontario.
Memorial donations can be made to Ed's House Northumberland Hospice where he spent his last days.
"Enjoy the little things in life because one day you`ll look back and realize they were the big things." -KV
I was surprised and saddened to hear of Dennis's passing. Dennis was always a pleasure to pass through the control room for a chat. Always easy going and probably Nanticoke's biggest asset. Best memory of Dennis was the night of Simcoe Lions 500 Club where they had a dance (pre covid) I didn't realize he was a dancing machine. The minute he tried to sit down another lady brought him back to the dance floor. We did get caught up on some old times but the ladies came for Dennis. Jim Vynckier Operator NGS

When reading of Dennis's passing a memory came to me of the time the family won a 55 Honda from a Coke contest I believe. Think he was pretty excited as he rode into Cobourg to our house( and am sure my other places) and took me for a ride down William St. over the tracks ( before the underpass) all he said was hold on . Best ride ever . Thanks Dennis My condolences to all the Randall family.
My condolences Dale to you, and the rest of the Randell family. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Bev

Dear karen sending you love and hugs to help you through the loss of your brother. Deepest condolences Carol
I could write a book about growing up in Centreton, a very happy book for sure. A big part of that book would involve my friendship with Dennis. We were very close and the best of buds. We had a lot of adventures together. Adventures that may have involved anything from 3" fire crackers right up to a 38 Smith and Wesson, but don't tell anyone OK? Our friendship was so strong that on the very rare occasions that we would see each other it was like we hung out just yesterday. I have a flood of great memories and it is very distressing to read / hear this tragic news. With tears of sadness I offer my deepest condolences to the Randall family.
Lois, Karen, Dale, Scott and the your families. My sincere condolences on the lost of Dennis. My prayers are with all of you at this very difficult time.

My sincere condolences Karen with the passing of Dennis. I know it’s been many years but I still remember him driving around Cobourg in his sports car while attending high school. He will be misssed.
