Ed, I had the pleasure of meeting Kim several years ago in Virginia. After that, we shared the joy of laughter and late nights sewing on snaps and a crazy run for pizzas, and she sneakily took a snapshot of me sacked out on a porch swing and posted that sucker on FB. She was a great friend. Like others, I was struck by her love for you and for the love you showed her. She was so proud of you and of the new home you were building together. I will miss her so much. My heart grieves for you and your family, and I send you wishes for peace and healing.

Although we hadn’t known Kim for long, we learned to appreciate her energy no matter how unwell she felt. She suffered so much this past year but loved her new home. Your devotion to her, Ed, was remarkable. Remember that you are now part of a caring community that are willing to help in any way you need.
