Suddenly at her home on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at the age of 59, beloved daughter of Joan Harrison (Brian) and the late James Turner, loving sister of Stephen Turner (Anne), Kim Turner (Doug), Lisa Olson (John), Christine Scott (Pete) and the late Nancy Turner, Janet passed in the early morning. Janet will be fondly remembered by her many adoring nieces, nephews and great nephews for her wit, kind heart and strength.
Janet was a dedicated employee of Tim Hortons for thirty three years, she helped serve Northumberland, bring joy to others and brightened the lives of many. Janet will be dearly missed and remembered by her coworkers and friends.
Friends and family are invited to attend MacCoubrey Funeral Home, Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 11:00 - 1:00 PM for a visitation. Following the visitation, a private family service will take place at 1:00 PM to honour the life of our dear Janet. A live stream of the service will be available to those who can not attend the service. Following the service, a reception will take place at MacCoubrey Funeral Home.
As Janet was a lover of all fluffy creatures we ask and encourage those that wish to make donations in the spirit of giving during this holiday season to direct them to the Northumberland Humane Society.
Dear Kim and everyone in the Turner family, we were very saddened to see the notice of Janet's passing. She was a woman with a larger than life smile, a contagious laugh and a way of making others feel welcome. She never forgot to say hello or ask how we were doing. She was honest, and hardworking and a very nice person to have in our world.
So sorry to hear Janet passed. I worked with her and had such a laugh every time we worked together. Lots of sympathy to all her family xx

My sincere condolences. Janet was such an amazing person to work with, she had a great sense of humour and working alongside her was always a blast. I have fond memories up on front counter together both big and little store, chatting in the break room, even trading sweaters with her because she needed bigger and I needed smaller. The sweater I wear today was originally hers. I hope that I can wear her sweater and do it justice. We miss you Janet, rest in peace. I hope and pray you're in a better place.

Kim, family and friends; I was shocked to read of Janet's passing and I am so very sorry for your loss. I went to school with Janet and had been a childhood friend. First (and only) time I ever sat on a pig was at the house on Brook Road! I later kept in touch with Janet through coffee stops at Tim Horton's. She was a bubbly happy lady always had a cheerful smile. Rest in Peace Janet.
