It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Wife, Mother, Nannie and Great Nannie. Mary Jane Toyne (Condon) lost her battle with pancreatic cancer on November 5th, 2021. She fought a hard battle to the end and we are so very proud of her.
She leaves behind, her husband of 30 years, Howard Toyne, and was predeceased by her first husband Francis 'Frank' Behan. Her loving children Rosemary Dobie (John) and Brent Behan (Nancy) will greatly miss her. Sharing in their sorrow are Mary Jane's stepson Kevin Toyne (Lisa) and stepdaughter Hayley Gabel (Mike). Mary Jane was super proud of her grandchildren Deana Langlois (Derek), Kassandra Dobie, Brandon Behan, Michael Dobie, Katrina Behan, Mitchell Toyne (Laura) and Mikayla Lachance (Justin), as well as Sean, Grace and Scott Gabel. She lovingly held close to her heart, her great grandchildren, Isaac, Charlie, Johnny and Edison.
We would like to say a special thanks to the doctors and staff at Sunnybrook Hospital and Northumberland Hills Hospital. We extend a heartfelt thanks to the Saint Elizabeth team that cared for our mom. Special to our hearts is Dr. Mulé, his team and staff at Ed's House for the highest level of care and for ensuring moms comfort in her final days. Her care from beginning to end was exceptional and we are grateful.
Mom endured a lot over her lifetime, always strong and willing to fight for what she wanted. She could not have made our family any prouder than with her fight to survive. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
Thanks to everyone (family and friends) who supported and helped our family during this journey. We could not have made it without all of you.
Due to covid restrictions a private family service will be held. Donations may be made to Ed's House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre, Cobourg or Northumberland Hills Hospital-Cancer Care Centre, but flowers will always warm our hearts.
Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, and so very dear.

So sorry to hear of Jane's illness and passing. I have many good memories of Jane during our many working years at Nursing Home. She always made me aware of how many days til Christmas so I wouldn't forget. Well I remember how happy Jane was when she was leaving work on her last day - doing the happy dance all the way out to the old car Howard was picking her up in. Rest in Peace Jane. You were wonderful friend and co-worker.
So sooty for your loss .Jane always had her beautiful smile and was so interested in what was happening around her.May you have many wonderful memories to remember her by.
