Will miss Uncle Vic. Was always one of my favorite uncles and visited us often. He's with the Lord now. I'll see you sometime in the future, Vic.
Some of my earliest memories of my many Uncles involved Uncle Vic, my Mom's younger brother. We use to see Uncle Vic quite often when we lived in Minnesota and Wisconsin as kids. Vic would come out from Chicago where he made prescription glasses for a living. Once after a family vacation to visit Grandma Caruk and some of Vic's other brothers in Saskatchewan, Uncles Philip, Walter & Harry, we just got back to Minnesota and Vic drove through on his way up to Canada to visit all those relatives too. And asked if I could go along, I was the oldest sibling, but I was only 8 years old and my parents said I could go. Looking back on that, I can't believe my parents let me go at such a young age. Ha. Uncle Vic and I stayed at Grandma Caruk's house. And one day when we were visiting Uncle Philip, he let me drive one of there tractors by myself after a short lesson. He later had to jump on the back because I wasn't sure how to stop it. Most of my memories about Uncle Vic were around the dinner table where he and my Dad would tell each other old jokes and new ones that they heard. Great memories of Uncle Vic, except you didn't want to stand beside him when singing in church, it was not a talent of his, but he still belted it out, so you got to give him credit for that. I hope to see him one day again in Heaven.

Dear Kathy and Dave and Family, thank you for all your care for Uncle Victor over the years, and especially in recent years since Aunt Barb passed. I remember so many fun times at their appartments in Vancouver and Burnaby, especially the family get togethers on New Year's day every year for many years. Games, good food, fun times together and many memories to last our lifetime! So many memorable stories Uncle Victor told! I still have my first pair of eyeglasses, now 40 years old, made by Uncle Victor. He inspired me to follow his example of remembering and calling family members on their birthday, especially nieces and nephews (I get to cheat and use my calendar app!). He was so thoughtful! I will remember his ready smile (a trait of many of those Caruk siblings!) and of course, the suspenders and shoehorns (he gave many of us a shoehorn to keep so that there would be one handy when he came to visit!). See you again in eternity, Uncle Victor! I'll meet you at the games table! Condolences and hugs from afar to you all. Leanne (niece; daughter of Victor's youngest brother, Arnold) and family
With sincere condolences to Uncle Victor’s family & friends Elizabeth Caruk (niece) ??
Uncle Victor, it is with great sadness that we have learned of your passing. You were a great man, good person and wonderful Uncle. You once said that Heaven is a big place, but one that you can see all the people, dogs and cats and that everyone will meet again. You will always be in our hearts.
