Margaret died peacefully on Friday, September 11 at Northumberland Hills Hospital, aged 81 years. She had fought cancer with enormous courage, buoyed by her positive spirit and by the love that surrounded her. Her devoted family (Rosemary and Jasper) will miss her beyond words. Daughter of the late Jessie and Tom Jenman of London, England, Margaret is survived by her dear sister, Barbara Bailey (John), by brothers Ken (Judy) and David, along with numerous nieces and nephews. After she came to Canada in the 1960s, she worked in data processing and elder care, collecting faithful friends everywhere she went. She loved people, gardening, music, and animals.
Cremation has taken place. At a future time when we can all safely gather, there will be a Celebration of Margaret’s life. Memorial donations may be made to the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or a charity of choice.
So, so sorry to learn of the passing of Margaret. We were both members of Cambridge Harriers in our teens. Margaret and I were very close friends until unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances allowed us to drift apart. She was a beautiful person in the broadest sense of the word and I have never stopped thinking about here.

This picture of Marg is exactly how I will always remember her: a beautiful, kind, happy person. Every conversation was joyful. I never heard a complaint; she radiated such a positive feeling. It was a pleasure singing (and chatting) with her at Shout Sister practices, and I truly missed her when she left. My sincere condolences to her family and wide circle of friends. Liana Palmer

Rosemary, sincere condolences from all of Margaret’s family in England. Margaret, memories I have of you make me so proud to have been your sister. You were so strong and brave. I remember when you were just eleven years old and climbed an enormous oak tree to rescue a kitten such that the fire brigade had to bring you both down. Anything you wanted to do you achieved.
