John, I was so pleased to be invited to attend the burial of Joy's ashes today. It has been a difficult month with her illness and passing. As I told you a few days before her passing I was not ready for this and you said you also were not ready. My Prayer is that you will find peace in hearing what you heard today. Joy was loved by all and will be missed. Joy and I were close having sharing mission housing together in Taiwan for two years. I have lost a sister. May you know the peace that passes all understanding.

Very Sorry to hear of Joy,s passing. She had a very full christian life and wonderful family, and she surely will be missed by all the people that knew her in Cobourg area and her world travel connections. Our family was occasionally treated to one of her dinners/celebrations at her home, with wonderful cooking, which the Randalls are known for. Will be thinking of the family at this very sad time.
We will miss Joy's leadership, inspiration and times spent together in conversation.

My sincere sympathy to Joy's family . I have fond memories of Joy from the times when she would return from her work in the Missionary field for a much needed vacation. She often came to help out with a few shifts at the old Cobourg Hospital and to tell us of her work. She was such a vital member of St. Andrew's Church and I would often see her there at various celebrations of birthdays etc. With my condolences, Diane Froncz (also a retired RN)

We give thanks to God for the good that entered the world through Joy Randall. She shared the love of Christ and served the church faithfully for many years, using her gifts to bless the world. Sincere condolences and prayers for Joy's family, church family, and friends from The Presbyterian Church in Canada. ~ Rev. Amanda Currie, Moderator of the 145th General Assembly
I had the privilege of knowing Joy and working with her at the John Wall Christian hospital in Taiwan in the mid-1980s. Joy was very gracious to me and my wife and my daughter Alice Meiling who was born there at the hospital in Taiwan. We had a chance to see Joy again in Taiwan in 2001 when I returned with Alice and my younger daughter Emily Shuling for a return visit to Changhua in order to give a lecture there at the hospital. We were very saddened to learn of Joy’s death and extend our condolences to the family in Canada.
Very sorry to hear of Joy's death. We crossed paths occasionally after we both moved back to Cobourg - I will miss our chats. My condolences to her family.
Joy was not only her name it was a state of mood she made you feel when you met her. She was such a 'Joy' to have around. She came to our church, invited by Rev. Bob (Jones) numerous times and bring her message of song and many times from 'Taiwan" and her mission message from there. Often her brother came with her and made the visit even more joyful. I'm sure heaven is a place filled with lots of happiness now that Joy has joined their numbers. Peace and love Nicholle (Nikki) Loney

Miss Randall that's we always call you Miss Randall in the CCH hospital. Remember when I came to this hospital for interviw for nurse, you are my chief interviewer, You just ask me a word:Are you Christian? I answered: yes You said: you can come to work.... I was very skeptical about such a quick interview. did you know..I also prepared a lot of answers for you will ask me the questions.... after that you seem to believe any christian will be good like you trust God in every workplace, and had beautiful behaviors... I have been in the hospital for almost ten years Later I learned that you are a missionary nurse!!! Thanks to Lord sent you come CCH!!! Let my life enrich.Thank you Miss Randall...
Sharing love and laughter, truth and life with all the colleagues and friends who miss and love you. Hope to see you in heaven one day. You are one of the reason that I choose to be a nurse. Thank you so much for your great love to Taiwan. May God bless your family and your beautiful country.

In the love of the God, we would like to extend our heartfelt respect and condolences to the family of Mrs. Joy Randall. We appreciate Mrs. Joy Randall for mission work on Nursing Administration in Changhua Christian Hospital in Taiwan from 1969 to 2004. Her work became a blessing for many patients and colleagues. She led the patients to know the grace of Jesus Christ and the love of God. Her mission work was very valuable and meaningful. May God’s mercy, comfort and hope be with you all, giving you peace and encouragement. Taiwan Christian Church Council of North American(TCCCNA)
I'm so sorry to hear of Joy's death. She was a special woman of God - gentle in spirit, full of love and compassion and thoughtfulness. I will miss her notes of encouragement and updates. I know that she has been welcomed to the presence of Jesus with the words, "Well done good and faithful servant.... Enter into the joy of your Master."
Joy spent >30 years serving as Head of Nursing Dept. at Changhua Christian Hospital (in my hometown) in Taiwan. Joy then went to the same Forever Blessed 永福 Presbyterian Church I had went to. My family immigrated to Canada in 1974. I didn't get to know Joy until 2004 when I went back to Changhua. Joy is loved in Taiwan, especially in CCH. Joy is also loved by the Taiwanese community. We were glad Joy was able to attend a number of Canadian Taiwanese community activities. People were pleasantly surprised Joy spoke such good (and cute) Taiwanese. We were in touch and were going to do a surgical mask donation from Taiwan's Mackay Memorial Hospital, with Joy, to Cobourg Hospital. Unfortunately Joy is no longer with us. We'll have to do the donation, while remembering Joy. Joy was Godsent to the people of Changhua, and had touched so many people's lives with love and caring. She'll be dearly missed.
Mom and I wish to share our deepest condolences to the entire family during this time of loss in your lives. Joy was an amazing person and loved by all. Our prayers and thoughts are with you during this time of sadness.
To all of you who are part of Joy’s family: she will be greatly missed. Her faith, commitment and eagerness to assist were a profound blessing. Deep peace of the Spirit to all of you Love, Kristiane.
So sorry to hear of Joy's passing. I was a representative of the Church of Scotland Guild when I met Joy at the Women's Conference of PCT in Taiwan in 2012. Again representing the Church of Scotland Guild, we met at the WMC conference in Toronto in 2015. Later, I discovered by chance that, in this small world she lived close by my brother and sister in law near Coburg. When I visited, a couple of years ago we were able to renew 'auld acquaintance' ... a fond memory of a lovely and committed lady who touched my life however lightly.
Thinking of you, John and family, at this time of your loss. Sincerely, Brian and Marg Watkins

I am sad to hear about Joy. She was a warm, welcoming, strong lady with a big laugh. My condolences to the family, especially her nephews who she loved so much.
Dear Randall family. We share your grief in the passing of Joy, another of our dear Taiwan Mission family gone on to eternal life. Joy lived her life fully, joyously, generously, and faithfully. It was a privilege to know her, and always a pleasure to be with her.
Dear Joy, You have gone before us! Although you mentioned your health concerns from time to time, yet, when the time came, you left us quickly. Rest in peace, you have given more than your share to both your family, your Church, and to Chang-hua here in Taiwan. You will be remembered. May your legacy of generosity and cheerfulness continue on! Blessings and comfort to all your family and Cobourg friends.
I first met Joy in 1971 when I arrived at the zchanghua Christian Hospital. We worked in different areas but I was grateful for Joy's friendship and hospitality. We have kept in touch over the years. She was Joy by name and a joy to know.
I met Joy in Taiwan in 1980 and she was so kind, generous and full of love. She was devoted to her faith and her family. I know her colleagues in Taiwan are mourning this loss.
I'm so sorry to hear of Joy's passing. I extend my condolences and prayers to the extended Randall famly for peace in these unusual times.
We were very saddened to learn of Joy's illness and death. Joy was an example to many and a pillar in our church community. She will be missed by many. John and all of Joy's nieces and nephews - our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. sincerely Bryan and Roberta
Dear John Please accept my most sincere sympathy on the loss of yet another sibling, Joy. I didn't know Joy very well, but enough to know that she was a kind, good person. My association was more with Richard, through historical society, where he was greatly respected by many. What is most poignant is that you are the last survivor of your family, the last of five, as am I. It's a lonely place to be... Again, my most sincere sympathy from one who knows what it feels like.
