Gerald Laurence Smith

August 18, 1937 - November 16, 2019

Peacefully with family by his side at the Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on Saturday, November 16th, 2019, Gerald Smith at 82 years of age.  Beloved husband of Elizabeth Glenda “Bette” Smith (nee Lewis).  Cherished father of Vickie Dahmer (Ken), John Smith, Michael Smith (Lisa).  Devoted grandfather of Kerrie McFadden (Luc), Mellissa Dahmer, Tyler Dahmer, Britanee Smith, Lucas Smith, William Smith, and great-grandfather of Finnley, Simon, Ryleigh, Macy.  Brother of the late John Wesley Smith.  Also missed by his furry friend Maggie.  A Funeral Service will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E., in Cobourg on Wednesday, November 20th, at 1 pm with visitation for two hours prior to the service, from 11am until 1 pm.  A reception will follow the service in the funeral home reception centre.  Cremation to follow with later interment at Cobourg Union Cemetery.  Those wishing may make a memorial donation to The Lung Association, Diabetes Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society.  Condolences received at
