Peacefully at her home in Baltimore on August 2, 2019, Joan McDonald at 72 years of age. Joan was predeceased in January of this year by her husband, Steven; her beloved best friend and soulmate. Cremation will take place to be followed by a private ceremony. A special thanks to those working out of the Palliative Care Unit at the Northumberland Hills Hospital: their care was professional, compassionate and helpful. Especially so when, at the 11th hour, Joan decided that, as Steve had, she wanted to die in her home. This wish was fulfilled with the help and planning of her Personal Care Attorney, Erin Tackaberry. Stepping in to provide the required 24/7 personal care (when it looked like this service was not going to be possible on such short notice) were Grace Tan and Raisa Redrico of TC&R Homecare. So heart broken when I heard that Joan had passed away. Good thing, no more suffering and she is with Steve. They were both wonderful and soulmates. RIP my friends.
