Gunther Manfred Nachtrieb

January 15, 1932 Schorndorf, Germany – June 9, 2019 Cobourg, Ontario.  Gunther had a passion for life and an appetite for knowledge, along with a great desire to share these qualities with anyone and everyone. He was a talented artist and musician whose gregarious and charismatic personality enabled him to make friends easily.  Cherished by daughters Heidi Cadmus (Henry), Lore Bunyan (Vince) and Ingrid (John Corey), grandchildren Eduard (Renee), Maximilian, Lisa and Alexander, and great-granddaughter Henrietta.  Predeceased by Herta, his wife and partner of 58 years.  His connections with his sister-in-law Marlene, cousin Alfred and dear friend Lilli were very important to him.  The family would like to thank the wonderful palliative team at Northumberland Hills Hospital for their exceptional care, and for allowing Gunther to live his final months comfortably and with dignity.  A private family service will take place at a later date.  Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com.
