It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Helen Marple on Saturday, June 1st at Port Hope Extendicare. Helen was 84 years, and was the beloved wife to the late Mel Marple, married in 1953. Loving mother to Valerie (Cam), Gary (Deb) and the beautiful, late Maureen (Doug). Amazing grandmother to Jason, Rebecca (Calvin), Rachel (Darren), Amanda, Roxanne (Shane), Cory (Kaitlyn), Shawna, Heather (Lael) and Bradley. Great grandmother to 10 grandchildren. Helen was a truly remarkable soul that touched the lives of so many. She loved her home in Pickering, Ontario, and loved sharing it with her family and friends. A private family burial service will take place at a later date where Helen will be buried with the love of her life, Mel. Helen was my favorite Aunty. I lost track of her for years but never forgot her. She use to call me her cupy doll. I would see her whenever she came to visit my Grandpa Hank.
