April 2, 1955 - August 13, 2017

It is with great sorrow and sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.  Marlene leaves behind her sons; Chris (Kim), Richard, Leonard; her grandsons Jarett, Brodie; great granddaughters Ava Marie and Ali; brothers and sisters Leonard, Paulette, Irene, Andrew (Jami), Loreen (James), Gina, Billy Joe, Katie (Dennis), Leslie, along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a lot of very special cousins and friends.  Marlene was predeceased by her father Leonard, mother Hilda, brother Robert, daughter Amanda, sister Lindeen. Marlene was a warm, wonderful woman who was a great teacher and mentor to many.  She grew up in Sandy Bay, Manitoba and went on to raise her family in The Pas, Manitoba.  Marlene was a very intelligent, educated woman and inspired many people in her life.  She loved to travel and venture into the odd casino.  Marlene loved watching the news and keeping up with current events.  She had a great sense of humour, quick wit and loved laughing and telling stories with family and friends.  Marlene loved her sons dearly and was very proud of their accomplishments.  She adored her grandchildren. Celebration of Life will take place at 8662 County Road 45, Roseneath on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at 2 p.m.  Marlene will be laid to rest at the Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Winnipeg, Manitoba on August 22 at 2 p.m.
