Kenneth Ernest Fleming

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Ken Fleming of Cobourg.  Loving husband of the late Jeanne Arkles and of the late Dorothy March.  Cherished father of Alan and Sharie Lynn Fleming of Cobourg and stepfather of Mary (Mark) Grist of Sydney, NS.  Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews as well as treasured friends Gord March, Bruce Wood, and John Whelpley and pet friends Gladys, Duncan and Murray.  Ken has been reunited with his parents Rex and Agnes Fleming, sisters Mary Arkles and Jean Keating, brothers Gord and Alan as well as his many sisters- and brothers-in-law.  A humble man of great faith, Ken enriched the lives of all he met.  He was quick with a smile or to offer a helping hand, and had a fondness for bad puns – the only kind heard at home.  Ken was a talented musician and singer who particularly enjoyed his years with the Sacred Heart Church choir in Sydney before moving back to his hometown of Cobourg in 2012 where he continued to enjoy gardening and nature, and returned to the St. Michael’s Church community.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations to The Heart and Stroke Society would be appreciated.  A celebration of the life of this wonderful man will take place at a later date.
