(Veteran WWII - R.A.F. Squadron 304 Polish Wing 1941-1947) Peacefully at Extendicare Cobourg on Saturday, June 21, 2014, Stan Matias at 94 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Florence Matias (nee Haskins). Loving father of Stella (Arvid Pravis), Rick Matias (Maurine), and Jeanette (Raymond Gatt). Cherished grandfather of Tina (David Witkowski), Darren Matias, Allison Matias (Steve Wood), Wendy (Lindsay Robertson), Andrew Gatt (Katherine), Michael Gatt and great grandfather of Kate, Matthew, Emily, Davis, Jackson. At Stan's request, there will be cremation with a private interment at Cobourg Union Cemetery. A public Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 26, from 2 to 4 pm in the Log Room of the Donalda Club, 12 Bushbury Drive, Toronto.
