Surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, August 15, 2013, at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Jim Wellman in his 55th year. Dearly loved husband of 31 years to Francesca (Franca). Sadly missed by his daughter Gina (Matt) of Calgary, his son Michael and by his newly born grandson, Benjamin. Loving son of Charles and Vera. Dear brother of Charlene (David) and Scott (Joanne). Jim began as a correctional officer in Cobourg, continued in Millbrook, and ended his 32 year career in Lindsay. While working as a correctional officer, Jim also took great pleasure in his “toys”; He enjoyed motorcycles, boats, ATV’s, and camping. He had great love for his family and will be dearly missed by his extended family, many great friends, co-workers and his dogs, Buster and Maggie. A Celebration of Jim's Life will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home Reception Centre (30 King St. E., Cobourg- enter at east doors) on Sunday, August 18 from 1-4 pm, with speeches taking place at 2 pm.
