TODD, Stanley Robert With great sadness, Stanley Robert Todd, a native of Colborne, Ontario and long-time resident of Sudbury, Ontario, passed away in his 84thyear at Cobourg General Hospital. Predeceased by Rose-Marie, his wife of nearly 40 years, daughter Mary, and brothers Walter and Melvin. Stan leaves behind his cherished companion, Dora Grant; daughters Dorothy (Rick Demers) and Rosemary; sons Jim (Sheri), Mike (Fran Hurst) and Stan Jr. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Jessica, Luke, Curtis, Will, Richelle, Zack, Mitch and Rose. Stan saw active service with the Royal Canadian Navy during WWII on HMCS Merritonia, attended Queen’s University and eventually settled in Sudbury. There, he began a 35-year career at Inco, primarily as a ventilation supervisor, married and raised his family. Upon his retirement, he returned to Colborne, where he was active in legion events, curling, lawn bowling, bridge, dancing, gardening and pursuing his favourite hobby, the stock market. Prior to his death, Stan was a resident of Legion Village in Cobourg. He was deeply loved and will be sadly missed. Visitation will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 11 King Street W., Colborne, on Tuesday, May 17th  from 12 noon until 2 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2 pm, and interment at Colborne East Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 187, 92 King Street E., Colborne. Donations to this branch of the Legion or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be welcomed.    A Legion Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 1:45 pm.   Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com
