Henry DeJong

DeJong, Henry Suddenly and peacefully at his home in Grafton on Thursday, March 3rd, 2011, Henry DeJong at 79 years of age. Beloved husband of Jane DeJong (nee Greydanus).  Dear father of Evelyn Brinkman (John), Elizabeth Mollema (Cornelus), the late Theodore DeJong (Linda), John DeJong (Nellie), Lilly Weenink (Rodney), Michael DeJong (Jodi), and Marjorie DeJong (Dave Busby).  Cherished grandfather of twenty-six grandchildren, four predeceased grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.  Brother of Tess VanNetten (John), the late Gertrude Hoekstra (the late Harry), the late John DeJong (Diane and the late Ytje), the late Joanne Atkinson (the late Ambrose), the late Dick DeJong (Mary), Gerben DeJong (Anne).  Henry was a loving husband, dad, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and a man of many wise and loving words.  He had a heart as big as the world and was there for anyone in need.  He lived his life for the Lord in words and deeds.  The word that warmed his heart the most was family, as they were the whole world to him. He will be greatly missed by all.  A Funeral Service will be held at Grace Christian Reformed Church (King St. E in Cobourg) on Tuesday, March 8that 11 am.  Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Grafton.  Visitation to be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E. in Cobourg on Monday, March 7th, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  Those wishing may make a memorial donation by cheque to Worldwide Christian Schools.  Condolences received at www.MacCoubrey.com
