LAMBERT, Lydia May Peacefully at the farm, with her family by her side, Lydia passed away on Wednesday March 2nd, 2011 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Leslie "Gordon" Lambert for more than fifty years. Born and raised in Shelburne Nova Scotia, she met Gord during the war. They married in Shelburne and set up housekeeping in Toronto where all of their children were born. They retired to the farm in Roseneath in 1986. Mom was an avid gardener and rockhound; and as the family matriarch, a practised peace keeper. Loving mother of Linda Tomkins (David), Larry (Lynda), Lorna Audette (Eddy), and William (Marielle). Dear grandmother of John (Karen), Michelle (Tim), Jeff (Margaret), Jamie (Robyn), Shane (Nonie), Tammy (John), Kaylin (Dave), Koreena (Kaashif), Natasha (Raffi), Kirstin (Neil) and Randie and great grandmother of Niall, Landon, Aaron, Kyle, Hannah, Jerret, Jenna, Teagan, Ryley, Aidan, Sebastien, Anya, Zoey and the late Sierra. Sister of Ransome (Ena) and Marie (Wilf) and sister-in-law of Mabel and Lena. A funeral service will be held on Sunday March 6th, 2011 at 3 pm at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King Street East, Cobourg. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 2-3 pm.
