Peacefully at the Northumberland Hills Hospital on Monday January 6th, 2020 in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of the late Jan Stewart (nee Moore). Loving father of 2 children and step-father of Bonnie, Wayne, Bruce and the late Brenda. Dear grandfather of several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mel is survived by his mother Gladys Stewart and pre-deceased by his father Clifford Stewart. Brother of Bob (Marlyn), Dary (Kathy), Marlene (Leon), Carl, Eldon (Kim), Lois (Dale), Brenda (Dan), Terry (Pam), Donna (Wayne) and the late Art and Elaine (Hughey). Mel is survived by many nieces and nephews and will be sadly missed by his special friend Lorraine Schutt and his furry friend Teddy. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE WILL TAKE PLACE AT A LATER DATE. If desired donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
