Stephen and Olivia, I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Penny. She was a beautiful women, always smiling and fashion co-ordinated. I knew Penny from the Kawartha Diabetes Educator group and my son Jeff Mastinsek went to school with Olivia. I have been to your house a few times to pick up Penny and I could always see the deep love she had for her husband and daughter. She was such a smart Diabetes Educator and was so keen to help others. I moved in June/19 from Cobourg to Perth so was unfortunately unable to attend the funeral. I am so sorry to hear of Penny's passing. I could always hear her laugh down at the other end of the clinic. She was always so kind and empathetic to patients. I loved, loved her unique personalized desk, when I was having a stressful day I would go and look at her desk which always gave me some joy in my stressful day. I didn't know her well but I know she loved purple, she loved her daughter and her husband and always had time for her patients, she was smart and kind and was dedicated. I will miss her as many others will as well. Take care of yourselves and each other. fondly,Jeanne Brown

We lost a great lady with the passing of my dear friend . She fought the great fight but the angels won. I picture her with purple wings and the shiniest gold halo in the sky. Every time I see a ladybug I will think of her. Her infectious laugh will follow me and I will never forget how much she taught me throughout our years of working together. RIP our special diva Penny.
