It is with heavy hearts the family of Richard “Rick” Hall announce his passing at Ed’s House Hospice Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the age of 77. Rick passed peacefully surrounded in the love of his family. He leaves behind his beloved wife Silvi (nee Onnis) whom he shared 55 years of marriage with. Loved dad to Christina (Shawn) Jackson and Marty (Isla Robertson) Hall. Proud grandpa to Thomas Jackson, Jakob Jackson and Rory Hall. Rick is the son of the pre-deceased Percy and Marymagdalen Hall and is brother to Denis (Eleanor) Hall, the late Linda (the late George) Sleep, Mike (Louise) Hall, Paul (Janice) Hall, Chris (Cathy) Hall and Janet (Gord) Prentice. Rick will be remembered fondly by all of his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. As per Rick’s wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held as St. Michael’s Cemetery, Cobourg, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre in memory of Rick.

I was truly sorry to read of Rick!s passing. It was always a pleasure to meet him as you were guaranteed a chuckle before the conversation ended. When the Hall’s moved to Grafton many yrs ago I remember Rick was just a young lad with a mile wide smile and the devil in his eyes & known as ‘Little Ick!’ No doubt you all have many wonderful memories to cherish of one who had such a love of life.
