GREER, Linda Gay (nee Davey) - Unexpectedly after a brief and courageous battle with cancer on January 19th 2010 at Kingston General Hospital with her family by her side. Survived by her husband Wayne, daughters Allison (Adam) Massey and Katelyn Greer of Toronto, parents Bradley and Margaret Davey of Cobourg, sisters Janet (Glen) Hynes of Cobourg and Judy (Blake) Farmer of Carp. Predeceased by her brother Dean. Will be missed by her father and mother-in-law Marg and Carl Greer of Perth, sister-in-law Kathy and David Mahoney of Kanata, brother-in-law Robert and Patty Greer of Richmond, aunts June Davey of Cobourg, Aura Waddell of London and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Linda was a cake maker extraordinaire and loved her sports, particularly hockey. Her volunteer work behind the scenes benefited countless Cobourg community events including the Cobourg Community Hockey League, Sunrise Rotary Club and the Silver Stick tournaments. Visitation will be held Friday, January 22nd 2010 from 2 – 4 p.m. & 7 – 9 p.m. with a memorial service to be held on Saturday, January 23rd 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. East Cobourg, Ontario.
