Jeanette was the beloved wife of Louis Davey who passed away in 1987. Loving mother of Mary (William Peace), the late George (Sydney Taylor) & Marlene (Manfred Schumann). Adoring Grandmother of William & Kelly Peace & children Olivia & Robert; Melanie & Chad & children Jack & Eric; Joshua Peace & Kristin Steenstra & children Margot & Lowen; Scott & Ange Davey & children Maddie & Carter; Todd & Julie Davey & children Josh, Asher & Nia; Jamie Schumann & Siobhan Watters; Peggy Schumann & Curtis Campbell & children Abigail & Adelaide; Jennifer Schumann & children Betty & Aiden Corbeil. Jeanette was born on September 18th, 1920 and lived most of her long life as a resident of Cobourg. The oldest of 4 children including sister’s Annie, Mary & brother Charlie. Her interests focused on family and friends with much time spent on volunteer work. This included St. Peter’s Church, Mary Martha Group, Chancel Guild and Men’s dinner, Quilting groups, caring for preschoolers at the church and C.R. Gummow School. Cobourg Hospital was also a prime beneficiary as was Girl Guides of Canada, having received her 50-year pin on the day she passed. Jeanette loved a challenge having learned to drive at 67 when Louis needed someone to get him to his appointments. Bowling was also a love which she did well into her 90’s. One of her greatest passions was knitting almost anything imaginable for countless others right up until the week she passed. Just like her father George, she also had an undying faith maintaining close ties to her church.
