MESSAGES OF CONDOLENCE / DONATIONS

Lori Geens - March 28, 2024

Sharon, my deepest sympathy on the loss of your beloved sister. Thinking of you and your family at this sad time.

Creedance LeRoy - March 26, 2024

Auntie Bernie, I miss you. All of the memories we share keep flooding through my mind and my heart is full with the love and lessons that you have passed down to me. Having you so close and such a big part of my formative years was the most wonderful thing I could've asked for. Creating a safe, welcoming space at your home for me and my sister to swim away the summer during the day. I love your home and all the stories tucked under each rock on your shelves, liberated from your memory when we held its weight in our palms and eagerly asked for it's origin. You are a great story teller Auntie Bernie, it'll stick with me, always, the way you could paint a picture, filling my head with these colorful, joyous recollections, instilling in me a sense of wonder and excitement for what the world has to offer. I'm going to miss your meals Auntie. The the smell of the cumin and garlic and onions sizzling, you throwing your big heart into a mouth watering meal that you couldn't even eat yourself. Your altruism keeps me company when I cook a meal for friends and family, and my favorite spices to use still mirror yours! Always learning from you Auntie. I was a lucky girl to have you, your big brain and knack for teaching in my life. You have this ability to unravel a complex concept or problem, explaining each component in such a way that when we put it back together again my understanding is complete, and there is always this little electric excitment about you when you were teaching me something that was delightfully infectious and has woven it's way through my life and into the way I teach people. Pepper it with excitement and everyone is rapt! I love you Auntie. So very much and forever. I'm excited to share with you the memories and stories I create, I'm excited to feel your presence with me, I'm excited to show you all the treasured little pieces of you I have polished and lovingly tend to in the mosaic I now make up. See you later Auntie Bernie ❤️

It was such a shock to hear of Bernadine’s passing. I am incredibly saddened to hear that Bernie has passed. She was such a kind, smart, sweet person. I would not have passed grade 9 science without her help! My mind is flooded with memories of hide and seek, double Dutch, Sunday drives, going to the ponds and as we got older dancing, parties and so much more. Sending love and hugs to the whole family.

Denise Diltz - March 22, 2024

My heart breaks at the very unexpected passing of Bernie. She was a sweet, shy, kind, and a very smart woman. Although, we hadn't spent as much time together in the last few years, I have numerous memories of going camping, parties, school and more. She will be forever missed, but never forgotten. Love and hugs to all of the LeRoy family. Denise ( Dumais) Diltz
